"Meet Our Candidates" LA Mayoral Forum

The Laurel Canyon Association hosted a "Meet Our Candidates" mayoral forum on Friday with all key candidates for Los Angeles mayor: Eric Garcetti, Jan Perry, Kevin James, and Wendy Greuel.

Moderated by KNBC 4 news anchor, Robert Kovacik, the event kicked off with a presentation by Paul Edelman, Deputy Director of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, on the Laurel Canyon Wildlife Corridor, followed by candidate pitches for LA City Attorney, Controller, and School Board, before it opened up for the mayoral forum.

As we focus here on tech, I was curious to hear where the candidates stand on growing technology innovation and entrepreneurship in Los Angeles, and so I'll close up with this keynote I found from Silicon Beach Fest with Eric Garcetti on TechZulu, where he speaks about what makes LA a unique "platform" for technology and diversity, and how to make LA a smart city. You can watch and listen to the full keynote here. If you have any thoughts on where the candidates stand on innovation and entrepreneurship, you can share in the comments.
