Built In LA's First Digital Leaders Event

Built In LA, an online community, platform and resource for Los Angeles startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators, held their inaugural Digital Leaders Event last Wednesday.

Sponsored by New World Ventures (a member of The Pritzker Group), William Blair, Cooley, Silicon Valley Bank, Sure Payroll, 4WT Media, and Enplug, Built In LA launched the first in an event series which will bring together entrepreneurs, founders, incubators, universities, studios, and investors from the LA startup community, and take place quarterly.

The event featured an acoustic performance by notable YouTube artists, Maria Zouroudis and The Fu, and this beautiful spread catered by Wolfgang Puck

These real-time social media-integrated interactive billboards (top right) powered by Enplug featured live tweets from the event. I was surprised to find my own tweet appear later during the event.

Here's the great team at Quality Parking, who gave me a safe ride back to my car after the event. Attendees also rode in and out using on-demand private driver, Uber. I got a few shots of attendees as they arrived (below).

Thank you to Maria Katris, CEO of Built In (above right), who organized this Digital Leaders Event, for having us. Also, here is Advisor, Scott Lenet (below left) and Digital LA CEO, Kevin Winston (below right).

Here is Cooper Harris from The Young and the Restless, and founder of Klicky (above).

Acoustic folk pop singer, Meghan Tonjes (above center) later performed a set, while attendees got acquainted below, including Built In LA Advisor Meghan Murphy from TEDMED (left).

Advisor, Tony Pritzker (above) kicked off speeches with a warm welcome to the audience, followed by words from Advisor, Matt McCall of early-stage tech and telecom investor, New World Ventures (below). For anyone who missed the welcome, and is curious to read Built In LA's story, I recommend reading Tony Pritzker's Welcome to Built In Los Angeles here.

Here are Advisors, Gil Elbaz, Founder and CEO of Factual (above center) and Bill Gross, Founder and CEO of Pasadena-based incubator, Idealab (above right). Here is Mark Turk from sponsor Silicon Valley Bank (below).

Final speaker Brent Gledhill spoke on behalf of sponsor William Blair (above).

If you were at the event, hopefully you snagged one of these really soft cotton Built In LA t-shirts made by CustomInk!
