Renegade Women's Conference 2013

Gracious hosts, Donna Queza (left) and Nailah Blades (right) with speaker, Dr. Danielle Dowling (center).

On April 12th, I had an exciting opportunity to shoot the Renegade Women's Conference as an official sponsor. The inspiring all-women business conference, co-organized by the gracious business coaching duo, Donna + Nailah, brought together diverse women entrepreneurs and business owners of all levels to hear from phenomenal speakers and panelists, including Escape from Cubicle Nation author Pamela Slim, the soulful relationship expert and life coach Dr. Danielle Dowling, and Emmy award-winning Natalie MacNeil founder of She Takes on the World.

The morning kicked off with an energizing Pump It Up! session with personal trainer, Natania Goldberg.

Next, business coach and author of Escape from Cubicle NationPamela Slim took the stage to deliver an inspiring keynote. You can hear Pam speak with Nailah and Donna about creating a meaningful body of work you are proud of (one of the big themes in her keynote) here.

My favorite: "How can I get on Oprah?"

After a short break, Jules Taggart and Krystina Feucht, founders of Kickstart Kitchen, moderated a panel discussing image and branding in business.

The panel featured experienced female entrepreneurs, including (from left to right): graphic designer Krystle Rowry, wardrobe stylist Nicole Longstreath, Jennifer Berson founder of Jeneration PR, and Sharzad Kiadeh creator of LuxLyfe.

Following the panel, Marlene Bernstein, chef/owner of Savour This Moment Catering & Events, which she runs with her brother Michael, was invited to the stage to introduce the very delicious and wholesome farm-to-table meal we were about to enjoy.

Lunch coincided with a pop-up shop featuring many of the event sponsors.

Next up, we heard from the soulful love + life coach, Dr. Danielle Dowling! A favorite quote from Dr. Dowling: “The universe responds to your diligence, but also responds to your joy.” You can read more inspiring quotes from Renegade Women on Nina's Communications Rebel blog here.

Next, Donna and Nailah moderated the very practical Nuts and Bolts of Your Business panel, featuring the knowledgeable expertise and sage advice of Kelly Alexander a certified financial planner of Charles Schwab, organization consultant Alaia Williams of One Organized Business, and business, family law and criminal defense attorney Merissa V. Grayson Esq (from left to right).

Next, Nailah led the Women in Tech panel, featuring social media consultant Trina Albus and Natalie MacNeil, the Emmy award-winning founder of She Takes on the World, which was followed by a candid conversation about money and mindset shift.
Toward the end of the day, Natalie MacNeil led us through her Make-It-Happen Master Action Plan, asking us to look at and examine our fears and apprehension, and also our real vision for our businesses.

And that's a wrap!! Amazing work, Donna + Nailah!! Afterwards, the ladies invited Kenae of Vino-ista to the stage to introduce her deee-licious selection of wines we were about to taste!

We enjoyed the wine tasting with scrumptious pepper turkey and other meats and salami's from Something Good 2 Eat

As things were wrapping up, we did a few fun photo booth shots and Vincent Mitchell and James Rhaburn from Immortal Reign Entertainment filmed a few final video interviews with the attendees.

Thanks to Writers Boot Camp for hosting us on April 12th. I look forward to many more events! Thank you Nailah and Donna for having me :)
