Super Grubby Cooking Show

Super Grubby Cooking Show
#SuperGrubbyCookingShow

I hosted a virtual cooking show with friends and family via webcast. Locally, we say "grubby" to describe food that's very delicious, and a kuishimbo (食いしん坊) in Japanese means someone who really loves to eat. Our Italian-theme menu and lineup: Jay made a Milano-Torino, Yusef made an affogato, and Laura and Andy made a ramp risotto. Jess and Julian from Europe joined too. As we can't travel and we're isolated, I'm connecting friends who love to eat, drink, and cook (and travel!) to share their cooking knowledge, make new friends, and enjoy international exchange in the kitchen.

We recorded on Crowdcast, and I edited the footage using an online video editor and uploaded the final cut to Vimeo. Thanks to everyone who joined the show! Here are links to the markets, farms, and meal kit deliveries we mentioned.

Local markets:
Tokyo Fish Market (Berkeley)
Rainbow Grocery (SF)
Berkeley Bowl

Delivery:
Good Eggs
Farm Fresh to You (Capay Organic Farms)
Sun Basket
Green Hearts

What grubby dishes are you making? How are you sourcing your ingredients? What's your favorite football club? Let us know in the comments!
