#TechLA Summer Jam 2014 (PHOTOS)

Leading LA startup incubator, Be Great Partners, hosted their #TechLA Summer Jam 2014 at the historic Mack Sennett Studios in Silverlake. Here are photo highlights from the day-long conference, featuring speaker panels, #BeGreatCup startup competition, and after-party.

Attendees began arriving at 9:30am. Here's Sara Gershfeld, founder of special needs startup, Love My Provider, greeted with a Be Great swag bag above, and charismatic host, Jason Okuma, kicked off the event below.

Beachmint's Jason Reuben moderated the opening keynote with Beachmint President, Diego Berdakin, and Michael Broukhim, co-founder of Charlie and FabFitFun, speaking about how they got started below.
Enplug CEO, Nanxi Liu, had a fireside chat with Therese Tucker, Founder, CEO, and Chairwoman of the Board at Blackline Systems. Here she shared the memorable story of how she remarried her ex-husband and best friend.
Then, we broke for lunch, hot off the grill.
While attendees ate lunch, there were startups showcasing inside, and competing hard for this year's #BeGreatCup. Among them included SimpleTux, SideChef, Panjo, and Rciprocity.

Meanwhile, on the mainstage, here's Banch Abegaze, COO of Atom Factory, and Rishi Roongta of New World Ventures speaking on the State of Venture Capital in LA panel.

Afterwards, Jasper Weir the co-founder of TaskUs, Molly Swenson COO of RYOT, and Nick Greenfield, VP of Marketing and Growth at Washio, sat down for the Growth Hacking panel to share advice on how to scale your startup on a startup budget.

Be Great's Emily Alfstad moderated the LA Maker Movement panel with Jesse Genet, CEO and founder of Lumi, Elise Lemle of Two Bit Circus, and Ava Bromberg of Maker City LA.

Lin Miao, founder of Be Great, led the E-Commerce panel. Here, he asks to see a pursecase from pursecase co-founder, Kelley Coughlan.

Here's Kelley Coughlan of pursecase, Steffen Hoffman co-founder of DSTLD, Farbod Shoraka co-founder of BloomNation, and Bryan Lalezarian, CEO of MeUndies, as Farbod shares how they raised their startup capital in a game of poker.

After grabbing a few shots from above the stage, I headed back into where the startups were showcasing, and caught a few startups including Washio, Buddytruk, Lumi, Force Impact Technologies, Fingertip Maestro, TalentTrail, and GozAround.

After the Hollywood in Tech panel, Lin brought out Brandon Fuller from Mack Sennett Studios. Big thanks to Brandon and his team for finding my camera :)

Then, the Be Great team came out to announce the winner of the 2014 #BeGreatCup! Congrats, Penango!

And that's a wrap! Here are a few more shots from the after-party...my friends Jackie Benson, founder of Hostess to Hostess and Sara Gershfeld, founder of Love My Provider above, and Brandon Fuller from Mack Sennett Studios below.

Efren is here! Here's TechZulu's Efren Toscano and Be Great host, Jason Okuma above, and more candids of the Be Great team and friends below...
