Digital Family Reunion 2013

Digital Family Reunion 2013 at Skirball Cultural Center

On Wednesday night, the Digital Family Reunion held their 6th annual holiday party at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, and celebrated the inaugural socalTECH 50, a list of emerging "up-and-comers" in the Southern California tech ecosystem, boasting founders from some of the heaviest-hitting startups our region has to offer.

From Snapchat's Evan Spiegel to Jordi Munoz CTO of aerial drone maker 3D Robotics and #girlboss Sophia Amoruso founder and CEO of Nasty Gal, the list celebrates a new generation of leaders, many young entrepreneurs, who are disrupting technology innovation from Santa Barbara to San Diego.

DFR co-founder and host, Brad Nye, founder and CEO of WeVu, a platform that will bring "cinema to the people," took the stage with the other three DFR co-founders, Kurt Daradics, David Leighton, and Tony Winders, along with socalTECH.com founder and editor, Ben Kuo.

Together, they recognized a long-time veteran, host of Business Rockstars on CBS Radio, Ken Rutkowski, who received a 2013 Digital Family Outstanding Achievement Honor.

Beyond the socalTECH 50, the Digital Family Reunion brought together key players and entrepreneurs in Silicon Beach and throughout Southern California.
